Glee!

The first episode aired after the American Idol finale all those months ago and now, finally, new Glee episodes are being shown by fox starting from tonight with the second episode entitled Showmance".
The show revolves around a high school glee club consisting of an array of your stereotypical high school misfits and their struggles with both their inability to fit in with the popular crowd and their goal of rising the club back to its former success and popularity.

For those of you who didnt catch the pilot episode check out the wikipedia summary: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pilot_(Glee)

The pilot, although a little messy at times, was promising and with such a talented cast at the helm even if you end up not liking the show the music performances may be worth a look, i'm already obsessessed with both their versions of Don't Stop Believin' and Goldigger.

Complain and Ye shall recieve

As if in answer to my verbal distaste to the new Desperate Housewives Promo picture a couple of days ago, I got sent this picture by email from a friend of mine tired of my whining.

I'm loving the whole warrior theme but they've messed up, every season the ladies have been wearing a different colour s1 was white, s2 black, s3 pink, s4 blue and s5 red and now season 6 has the cast in blue dresses again?

Why not orange or green, i'd been hoping they'd be in purple this time around (as marcia cross looks stunning in the colour)

Even so I gotta admit this is by far my favourite promotional image, all the ladies look good in dresses that are flattering to each of them, well done guys, well done indeed.

Desperately seeking originality

Well the first promo pic for the sixth season of Desperate Housewives (starts on September 27) has been released, and I'm not too fond of it, nothing special really and hardly professional looking or artistically creative, it's not like they haven't done the whole glamorously dressed and sporting housewifely accessories before - bit of a let down to be honest, hopefully this won't be the official art they'll be using for the DVD box set or anything.

LOST - Judgement by the monster

Lost was on tonight (SPOILERS) and it was truly a fantastic episode, Along side some Ben related flashbacks we eventually got to see Ben summon forth the black/grey smoke monster to judge him for causing Alex's death last season. We got some cool graphic shots of the smoke monster billowing out of a vent under the Temple before it engulfed Ben and shows him clips of him and/or Alex through the years up until her death.

Because he's truly sorry the smoke let's him live but not before summoning an Alex apparition thing to kick Ben around a bit and warn him not to kill Locke or she'll hunt him down and destroy him (It's the first time Ive really enjoyed a scene with Alex in) Not only do we get some questions answered at last but also some new ones raised such as who the hell is Ilana? and what the frick is she yapping about something lying in the shadow of the statue? I'm so glad to see that the lovely Penelope didn't get slaughtered too - that would have been heart breaking, I love Penny and Des, I hope they survive the season, apparently someone major-ish wont.

Finally a literal 'shocking' episode

Well they did it, the Desperate Housewives folks finally gave Sheridan the boot, couldnt upload a clip so follow the link to watch, or if your lazy just read on.
Poor Edie finally gets kicked to the curb on tonights episode, after escaping from Crazy psychotic Dave's throttling fingers Edie ploughs bonet first into a telephone pole after swerving recently granny-battered Klepto Orson. Not entertained enough by the proceedings so far Marc Cherry then has Nicollette Sheridan electrocuted to death (such fun!) for some reason Mary-Alice blathers on about possible survival, which, as we know from certain announcements, is a load of Bullcrap - she's stone cold DEAD

Jennifer's GREY granny locks

Jennifer Aniston celebrated her 40th birthday Saturday night with a ton of fabulous celeb friends, including boyfriend John Mayer.

Jen hosted the party at her Beverly Hills home, where she reportedly danced and huddled close with John throughout the evening. and according to peeps over at E! “She looked hot, and she and John looked really happy,”. Jennifer’s guests reportedly included Oprah Winfrey, Sheryl Crow, David Arquette and wife Courteney Cox, Tobey Maguire and wife Jen Meyer, Laura Dern, and Tom Hanks & Rita Wilson. The party started at 7pm and was said to have lasted well past 2am. The police even kicked the paparazzi out of the neighborhood. On turning forty she freaked out about having a grey hair

"I found a really long grey hair and it kind of flipped me out. It's not my first but it's the fact that it was so long. I was like, 'Oh that's been there. How many others are there, and what does that mean?' It actually brought me to tears slightly."
Just so you know I love this woman, even at 40 she looks great - what a bitch.

He's Just Not That into You and you and you etc.

He's Just Not That into You premiered today and as i had the day off and I do love my romantic comedies, I just had to drop in at the cinema's for a viewing.

It was alright I guess, nothing that spectacular about it but enjoyable enough to waste an hour or two watching. The basics revolve around the title - if a guy wants to call you and he actually likes you then he's gonna but if he doesn't, that means he's not interested. This 'mantra' is reflected in individual plots of the various couples and its all very stereotypical as you'd expect.

Desperate Housewives - Bon Anniversaire

As I'm away on holiday all week I'm not gonna be able to post that much so I've decided to merely dedicate this week to the glorious Desperate Housewives. As the show reaches it's first big milestone on sunday with the 100th episode premiere I've set sum posts up for every day throughout the week, a few clips from sunday's show. By the looks of it were going back through time again, back when old Mary-Alice was still alive and kicking - I hope they bring some other old characters back too, anyway check in all week for the clips SPOILERS beware.

Bugliari and the Beast

The repugnant hag that is Alyssa Milano has apparently called upon the almighty powers of the satanic lord to find a man whose actually willing to make all her dreams come true.

The 36 year old Charmed "star" is engaged to marry a guy called David Bugliari, an agent at the Creative Arts Agency (fancy eh?). The pair have apparently been dating for more than a year now. This Bugliari guy (pictured) also proposed with a ring he himself had designed and Jim Lavi at Daniel Jewelry in La Jolla actually made, which even I think is rather sweet.

Anyways eventhough I detest her as an "actress" I do hope this marrige lasts seeing as though she's already been divorced once (some guy called Cinjun Tate) and surely there has to be someone able to spend more than three minutes looking at her without vomiting blood, no?
