Mighty Morphing Transgender Ranger

As someone who grew up during the 90's I vividly remember the outbreak of the Mighty Morphing Power Rangers upon the western world, the vivid coloured costumes, the megazords, the terrible American actors and the ridiculous "fight" scenes. However Ive always wondered why exactly, out of the two female rangers only the Pink power ranger had a cute little skirt but the Yellow one didn't, so I decided to explore further.

Turns out that although the yellow ranger was a girl in the American version, in the original Japanese program Kyōryū Sentai Zyuranger The yellow ranger was in fact male hence no little skirt on his uniform, when comparing pictures of the two suited rangers I can't believe i never noticed that it was a dude, what with the broad shoulders, lack of curves and the slight bulge in the groin area, god knows how they passed him off as a woman, bravo Saban, Bravo indeed.
